SAMM Properties is an on-going real estate partnership between Mark Maynard, owner of Tribute Companies and Wilmington native, Steve Anderson. Founded in 2003, we’re recognized as the regional leader in the Class-A Office and Retail condominium market. 

 Because of hard work and strong relationships, SAMM Properties is proud to be providing businesses the ability to own their own stores and offices.

Steve Anderson

Owner and Developer

While Steve is currently known for leading the creation of major office buildings all over Wilmington, his entrepreneurial journey began about 40 years ago while selling clothing.

He began his first development project in 1999 and has never looked back. His initial endeavor prompted him to turn more toward development and redevelopment. And a few years later, he filled the first of many ‘Offices at Mayfaire’ with excited tenants. Steve has always been a passionate salesperson, whether it be clothing or office buildings, and his developments and passion have greatly impacted the Wilmington community.   

Operating under the leadership of Anderson, SAMM Properties Inc., has developed multiple marquis properties in high-traffic locations throughout Wilmington, NC exceeding 500,000 square feet in total.


Parker Anderson

Developer

In 2017, Parker Anderson followed in his father Steve’s footsteps and joined the SAMM Properties team. Parker’s primary responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations and project management. 

He attended The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies. His time at UNCW and focus on communications paved the way for his future in commercial development, project management, and interaction with clients. 

Parker works hard to successfully develop highly effective projects that guarantee project goals and customer satisfaction. His knowledge and experience bring stability to scheduling, budgeting, negotiations, and other project management services.

“My wife and I were leasing space for our retail store here in Wilmington and Steve approached us about purchasing space in Phase II of Anderson Square. Since we had always wanted to own our store space, we actively pursued purchasing a location in Anderson Square. I had known Steve for a number of years but had never had a business relationship with him. I was not surprised at all to find that it was an absolute pleasure to deal with him as our new location was being built. He was always available to help in any way he could to be a problem solver during the construction. I had been expecting a lot of hassles during the build as the gremlins seem to thrive around construction sites, but my experience was the opposite. If I needed help or advice, Steve was right there smoothing the way.

We opened our new location in 2004 and I worked closely with Steve until he sold his interest in Anderson Square in 2016. During those years, I found him to be very concerned about the welfare of all the store owners in the center and was constantly picking up trash, hanging Christmas decorations or driving through to check on any parking problems. Steve is the type of developer that remains involved in his projects long after they are completed.
